Chocolate Chip Black Bean Brownie Bites with Date Caramel
These super healthy brownies are made with black beans, dates, and lots of chocolatey goodness!
Ingredients
- 1 Can Black Beans (15 Ounce Can)
- 3/4 Cup Dates (150g or 20 Dates)
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 Cup Cacao Powder
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
- 3 Tbs Lily's Dark Chocolate Baking Chips
- 2 Tbs Walnut Pieces
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Tsp Liquid Stevia
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- Sea Salt
- Coconut Oil
Instructions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Make date paste by adding dates to food processor and blending until smooth. Then remove about 1/3 of date paste from food processor and set aside in small bowl.

Drain and rinse black beans then add them to your food processor with date paste. Blend briefly.

Add all remaining ingredients except walnuts and chocolate chips to the food processor and blend until smooth batter is formed.

Mix in chocolate chips and walnuts and briefly pulse in the processor to mix them throughout the batter.

Grease a loaf pan (8.5" x 4.5") with coconut oil and pour in the brownie batter. Bake for about 25 minutes or until brownies are firm in the center. Remove from oven to cool.

Once cooled, use a butter knife to carefully spread date paste over top of brownies. Sprinkle with sea salt and endulge!
Notes
- For this recipe I used Natierra Himalania Organic Cacao Powder , Sweet Leaf Liquid Stevia Vanilla Crème, and Lily's Dark Chocolate Baking Chips.
